A large Manitowoc crawler crane owned by American crane rental specialist ALL has dropped a hub and 3 blades on a project in the states.

There is currently very limited information as to the cause of the accident which isn't unusual on windfarm projects but from what we can gather the crane had almost got the hub into place as the breaks failed on the hoist drum.
In the video that was sent to us it seems like the crane has some sort of jolt as you can see the boom start to flex then shortly after the load starts to fall rapidly, in the photos we have been sent of the aftermath it seems the crane also lost a few lacings from the lattice sections.
Lucky enough tho there seems to be no injuries from this incident and the damage seems to be limited to mostly the hub and blades which obviously are a complete loss.
