Essex based crane and contract hire DSM invests in a brand new Jekko SPX650 spider crane, the Italian made crane was supplied by the UK distributer JT cranes based in Cambridge. DSM managing director Melvin Rodgers says
"We had this enquiry in London which needed a innovative solution so we went to the market looked in depth at the spider cranes available on the basis that they needed to be as light as possible with the maximum possible lifting capacity right throughout the chart.
After our market research the jekko won hands down it’s a phenomenal little machine and the service we received from JT Cranes was second to none, we certainly hit the jackpot with them being the retailer for the jekko product in the UK".
After the official hand over in JT cranes yard there was no time to waste, the new SPX650 went straight to work the next new day, the crane was lifted onto a rooftop in London where it will spend the next few months installing steel work for one of DSM's valued clients.
With many crane hire and contract lift companies choosing the cheap over quality its nice to see a company like DSM choosing the Jekko which is, without doubt the higher end of the spider crane market and with the added benefit of JT cranes backup makes this a great investment for DSMs over growing fleet.
